AWANA CLUB
News
What a joy it is to see growth taking place in the Kids who have been with us the ninth years we have had AWANA Club. Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed is what AWANA stands for which is taken from II Timothy 2:15. AWANA exist to help churches prepare and join the battle for the next generation. With clases starting with 3year olds through high school ages we teach the gospel and scripture memory is the key element.
Each Sunday night the vans start rolling in at 5:30 p.m. with pledges to the American flag and AWANA flag then a time of singing songs, then a Bible story or lesson is taught. We dismiss in age appropriate classes where game time is scheduled in with the class time. Clubbers also are awarded with points which are turned in for AWANA bucks and can be spent at the AWANA Store.
I praise God for Tenth Street Baptist Church who supports AWANA Club. Without the 36 volunteers who work so faithfully, we could not keep this club going and I thank you. Moses directions to the children of Israel "set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law" Deuteronomy 32:46

The staff is planning to attend the AWANA Club conference and workshop at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty on Aug. 25th. 8:00 a.m. Sept. 9th. is the attentive start back up date from our Summer break. This is a special year fo us for it will our 10th. year full year. Tenth Street was registered in January of 2008 and has been going on since then. Tuesday night August 28th. 6:30 p.m. will be the staff planning and carry in supper.
